- Abstract
The article reports a study which examined data regarding the monthly distribution of suicide in 10 prefectures in Japan and nationally in Japan over a period of 32-years. The results revealed that suicide rates among men and women tended to be higher from March to July and also tended to be high in September. Therefore suicide measures must be strengthened from spring to early summer as well as in early autumn. Relevant organizations and citizens must work together for suicide prevention.
