- Title
Pergolide and cabergoline were associated with increased risk for newly diagnosed cardiac valve regurgitation: COMMENTARY.

- Abstract
The author comments on a study which examines whether dopamine agonists increase the risk of newly diagnosed cardiac valve regurgitation in patients taking antiparkinsonian drugs. He asserted that the estimates of drug-induced valvular disease in the study are probably unstable and the evaluation strategies are different. Thereby, researchers reported a more common prevalence among a selected cohort based on echocardiographic case ascertainment.
