- Abstract
The article looks at a study related to intraethnic variation in prostate cancer patients with steroid-5-alpha-reductase polymorphisms. It states that steroid-5-alpha-reductase inhibitors are used for treatment of male alopecia and benign prostatic enlargement. It mentions that genotype distribution within different populations of the same ethnicity could be responsible for the failure of treatments based on 5α-RI.
