- Abstract
The article presents a study on the genetic susceptibility factors and genetic polymorphisms linked to Parkinson's disease (PD). The study examined the genes linked to pathophysiological hypotheses on PD which include catechol-O-methyl transferase (COMT), angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE), and ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal esterase L1 (UCHL1). The study showed that there is no statistically significant difference among the genetic candidate polymorphisms in terms if its alleles or genotypes.
