- Abstract
In this study electrochemical method was used for the iron ions removal from water solution with the application of a single-chamber electrolyzer with aluminum sheets as electrodes. Model solutions of Fe(II) of different concentrations were prepared and used in the experiments. The effect of the current density was studied. It was shown that the increasing in current density leads to the increasing in efficiency of iron ions removal. An influence of such factors as time of the process and initial concentration of iron ions on the efficiency of its removal were also studied. Mathematical models of the process were obtained.
