- Abstract
In this article the author examines the risks faced by most Northern Spotted Owls (NSO) in fire-prone forests. The authors suggest that the development of conservation plans for NSO in such a landscape should consider a thorough evaluation of multiple threats and careful consideration of the consequences of management actions. They also cites a study in which the researchers underestimated the area of high-severity fire due to incorrect application of the Miller's method.
