- Abstract
Complexes [La(H2O)3(DMF@C36H36N24O12)(NO3)](NO3)2·6H2O (1) and [M(H2O)3(DMF@C36H36N24O12) (HCOO)](NO3)2·6H2O (where M = Pr (2) and Eu (3)) are prepared and structurally characterized by XRD upon heating a mixture of aqueous nitrates La(III), Pr(III), and Eu(III), cucurbit[6]uril (C36H36N24O12), and DMF up to 100 °C. The metal atoms in the obtained complexes are coordinated by three oxygen atoms of the neighboring carbonyl groups of the macrocyclic cavitand. The lanthanum atoms are disordered, the alternative positions are related through a two-fold symmetry axis. The complexes have a 0D structure. The inner cavity of cucurbit[6]uril molecules is occupied by a DMF molecule, while the oxygen atom of the guest molecule coordinates the lanthanide atoms. The structures of crystals 1-3 contain H-bonded "directed chains".
