- Abstract
The article presents a study which reveals that plasmid-mediated colistin-resistant Enterobacteriaceae is spread from food products imported from areas with a high environmental load of resistant bacteria and with higher usage of antimicrobials. It mentions that colistin is used in veterinary medicine and is important as it is used for treating human infections caused by multiresistant bacteria.
