- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted to identify the book format preferences of customers in education, research, and patient care settings of an academic health sciences center at Ohio State University, to discover the factors that influence customer format selection and to offer suggestions to librarians involved in the selection and delivery of health sciences books. Researchers evaluated 16 participants from the university. They found that the participants chose electronic formats for quick searches and brief reading and chose print format when reading larger amounts of material.
