- Abstract
The article presents a study focusing on clinical severity of fecal incontinence (FI) after anorectal surgery and its relationship with endoanal ultrasound features. Topics include the finding that patients with FI after anorectal surgery more frequently have a high clinical severity score, and the internal anal sphincter (IAS) was always affected and a higher clinical severity found to be associated with a thicker IAS, probably due to compensatory hypertropy.
