- Abstract
A pocket-sized gamma radiometer is designed with the concept of integration. The shell is made of ABS and PC materials, the whole machine is light and portable with data communication and electricity charging through TYPE-C standard interface. This paper introduced the detector selection and the design of whole instrument, main control system and peripheral function modules. Through high-precision and high impedance operational amplifier and pole zero cancellation circuit, the signal input response is enhanced and the signal-to-noise ratio is improved. A single 26650 lithium cobaltate battery is used to supply power to the system. Through the design of highprecision voltage detection circuit and delay protection circuit, the normal operation of battery charging circuit or discharge circuit is realized, so that the instrument can work continuously for 48 hours. The instrument adopts BGO crystal + SiPM combination as radiation detector, which has the characteristics of small volume, low power consumption and high detection efficiency. It can be applied to radiation detection in many fields. Through the calibration of the standard volume source model of the metering station, the main technical indexes of the instrument were tested, which fully met the requirements of JJG (military industry) 29—2012 verification regulations.
