Presents a summary of the results of the analysis by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention which indicated that the rate of acute hepatitis B in children and adolescents in the U.S. declined from 1990 to 2002. Definition of acute hepatitis B as an acute illness; Number of cases of acute hepatitis reported among persons aged 19 years old and below; Population among children and adolescents in the U.S. that had the highest incidence rate of hepatitis B.
