- Title
Are we entering a needlescopic era?

- Abstract
The authors discuss the use of Stryker mini-laparoscopic instruments as a modified needlescopic approach to performing appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, and inguinal hernia repair. They indicate that the instruments allow direct percutaneous entry into the abdomen, in contradistinction to needlescopic systems that required a separate trocar and port. They suggest that the needlescopic-laparoscopic approach should be given due consideration by all surgeons performing laparoscopic surgery.
