- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the impact and the implications of the missed mass drug administration (MDA) program in Haiti. He mentions that the program to eliminate lymphatic filariasis (LF) prioritized the areas with the greatest public health need. He notes that the increase in microfilaremia infection levels is a consequence of the missed MDA in Leogane. Hence, he asserts that the setback of the program due to missed MDA leads to loss of investments and credibility of the program.
