- Title
Norepinephrine dose reporting: are we looking at different sides of the same coin?
- Authors

- Abstract
This document is a comment on an article about norepinephrine and its different formulations. The authors agree with a previous comment that the physiological effects of norepinephrine are expected to be the same regardless of the salt formulation. They explain that norepinephrine is considered an efficacy-driven agonist and that the concept of potency goes beyond salt formulations. They argue that standardized formulation reporting is necessary in clinical settings, as different salt-based dose preparations can lead to variations in the actual base molecule dose. They also highlight the importance of standardized reporting for norepinephrine dose, as it has prognostic implications and can affect clinical decision-making. They support the implementation of standardized reporting, especially in light of upcoming studies on septic shock.
