- Abstract
In addition, we concluded that the intensive care community would benefit from more high-resolution intensive care unit (ICU) datasets that also include data from before and after ICU treatment. As creators of AmsterdamUMCdb [[1]], the first freely available European high-resolution intensive care database, we heartily applaud the recent release of the Salzburg Intensive Care Database (SICdb) [[2]] and a Chinese critical care database [[3]]. Together with the well-known MIMIC and eICU databases from the United States (US) and the HiRID database from Switzerland, these releases increase the total number of publicly available high-resolution adult intensive care datasets to six.
