- Title
Absence of amyloid β oligomers at the postsynapse and regulated synaptic Zn2+ in cognitively intact aged individuals with Alzheimer's disease neuropathology.
- Abstract
The article presents a study which shows the putative resistance mechanism in non-demented with Alzheimer's disease neuropathology (NDAN) cases, which may indicate potential AD treatment. The study performed various procedures including immunohistochemistry, enzyme-linked immunosrbent assay (ELISA) and western immunoblotting. Results show that amyloid (Aβ) oligomers do not exist in hippocampal postsynapses in NDAN cases, despite its presence in soluble fractions.
