- Abstract
The article reports on the increasing incidents of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Korea. Avian influenza is counted to be an exotic viral disease in chickens and turkeys. The basic control measures practiced against HPAI outbreaks in Korea include depopulation of all contaminated and suspected flocks. Animals on the infected farms are butchered when found out to be suspected with HPAI.
