- Abstract
The article focuses on a study related to the genomic traits of lactic acid bacteria Lactococcus lactis IO-1. The study informs about the genes in IO-1 genome responsible for synthetic pathways of amino acids and vitamins. The study further highlights various genes of horizontal transfer derivation which includes prophage, nisin-sucrose transposon and restriction modification system.
