- Abstract
The article examines the efficiency of a combined multislice computed tomography (MSCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in treating acute myocardiotis in a child with duchenne myopathy. It states that acute myocarditis is an inflammatory condition of the heart commonly due to viral infection. It suggests that myocardial inflammation can be quantified with MRI. The benefit of such a technique is that general anesthesia is not required compared to percutaneous coronary angiography.
