- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the estimated population density of some hunted wild ungulates species in Simanjiro, Northern Tanzania. It says that the survey of four hunted species, including zebra, impala and wildebeest, was conducted via distance sampling. Results of the study reveal the high density of zebra and wildebeest, which was due to the seasonal migration behaviour of the species. It adds that the low density of Thomson's gazelle and impala was attributed to habitat loss pressure.
