- Abstract
The article presents a study conducted for determining relations between children's exposure to potentially traumatic events (PTEs), respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA), and internalizing and externalizing behavior. Topics discussed include determination of sex-specific conceptualizations of the link between environmental adversity, internalizing behaviors and physiological reactivity; association between PTEs and lower baseline RSA; and impact of physiological stress over RSA.
