- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the prevalence and potential risk factors for haemoplasma infection in dogs aged between three months and 19 years in Sydney, New South Wales. The study uses real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assays to identify the prevalence and Microsoft Excel 2007 for data analysis. Results show that splenectomy and kennel housing increase the risk of acute haemoplasmosis.
