- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 19-year old Asian woman who was suffering from repeated falls and stiffening of the four limbs. The tests revealed that she suffered from carpopedal spasms and sparse episodes of muscle rigidity. He was first diagnosed with tetany, a condition of enhanced neuromuscular excitability due to repeated attacks of tonic spasms. Later on it was confirmed that she was suffering from Fahr's disease, a misnomer which can be encountered in numerous chronic conditions.
