- Abstract
Description of SCA48 in October 2018 [[6]] took place after electronic publication of our report in September 2018; hence, we could not include SCA48 in the differential diagnosis of SCAR16 during elaboration of our article. In their paper, De Michele et al. include cerebellar ataxia, cognitive impairment and hyperkinetic movement disorders as part of SCAR16; corticospinal signs were found in only 19/31 cases and psychiatric symptoms in 2 [[1]]. To the Editor, De Michele et al.'s work on SCA48 is informative and up-to-date [[1]], and we appreciate the reference to our article on SCAR16 and I STUB1 i [[2]].
