- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the effect of hypothyroidism on cardiac patients. The basic signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism are discussed including bradycardia, angina, heart failure, fluid retention, deafness and confusion. Electrocardiogram changes such as ST-T wave abnormalities can also be present in a patient with hypothyroidism.
