- Abstract
Parapharyngeal space tumours are rare and are a significant technical challenge for head and neck surgeons. PPS tumours are uncommon, constituting less than 1% of all head and neck neoplasms. All tumours were completely excised on histopathological examination; however, there was a concern in one patient with pleomorphic adenoma of potential intra-operative tumour spillage. These methods all provide excellent access to the PPS, allowing full visualisation of surrounding structures and complete removal of the tumour with a low risk of tumour spillage and recurrence.
