- Abstract
Using Monte Carlo simulation, the magnetic, magnetocaloric, and ground-state properties of a mixed-spin (3/2, 1, 1/2) edge-decorated graphene-like nanoparticle are investigated. The ground-state phase diagrams of the system are described. Caused by Hamiltonian parameters and temperature, the system exhibits interesting double compensation temperatures, double-peak susceptibility curves, and multiple hysteresis loops under certain parameters. Both the strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy and the weak exchange coupling promote the possibility of double compensation temperatures. Furthermore, the study includes an exploration of the magnetic entropy change and the relative cooling power.
