- Abstract
The article presents the practice guidelines for live, on-demand primary and urgent care by membership- based organization American Telemedicine Association (ATA). The telemedicine practice guidelines aims to promote patient safety and uniformity and quality of services. Scopes covered in the guidelines include regulatory and licensure requirements, physical environment and referrals and emergency resources as well as cultural competence, and informing and educating the patient.
