- Abstract
An editorial is presented on the stratified therapy in Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli associated with hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). Topics include the HUS form of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) has characterized by a triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury, the TMA is a pathological phenomenon comprising systemic consumptive thrombocytopenia, and the pathophysiologically has accepted that the Shiga toxin has produced by STEC.
