- Title
When Exile Is Home: The Biography of Isaac of Stella.
- Authors
Dietz, Ellias
- Abstract
The article features the life and works of the 12th century Cistercian abbot Isaac of Stella in France. With the obscurity of the account of Isaac's life, several studies that offer various theories have been considered including the research of Gaetano Raciti, Gaston Salet, and Claude Garda. The documentary evidence that could be given was the time of this English monk's election to office as abbot of the Cistercian community in Stella in 1147 and ended in 1167.
