- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of two surveys among nanoscientists and the general public in the U.S. on their risk perceptions of nanotechnology. The studies showed that in general, nanoscientists are more optimistic about the potential benefits of nanotechnology than the public. However, the surveys revealed that nanoscientists were significantly more concerned than the public in some issues related to the environmental and long-term health impacts of nanotechnology.
