- Abstract
The article discusses a study which further described the natural history of prostate cancer patients undergoing salvage therapy. The authors sought to determine national trends in the use of primary and salvage therapy and the outcome of these treatments by analyzing the Cancer of the Prostate Strategic Urological Research Endeavor (CaPSURE) database. They also identified risk factors that determined the likelihood of disease recurrence and salvage treatment success. The outcomes of men who failed salvage therapy were also assessed.
