- Abstract
The article discusses the results of 2008-2010 data from the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) in 14 countries who ratified the World Health Organization (WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). The report found that among men, the prevalence of manufacture cigarette smoking ranged from 9.6 percent in India to 59.3 percent in Russia. The report also found that among men in 12 countries and women in seven countries, at least 90 percent of smokers reported seeing a package warning in the past 30 days.
