GLASER, DANIEL
- Abstract
The article analyzes the evolution of several aspects of sociological approach as applied in the field of crime and correction. It is stated that, under the sociological approach to crime, it is assumed that criminals acquire their interests, ability, and means of self-justification in crime through their relationships with others. It is stated that, sociologists explain the phenomenon of crime as a consequence of the cultures in which individuals are reared. It is stated that, there has been an increase in the trend of stressing the cultural influences and interpersonal relations in explaining the existence of crime, as the boundaries between the fields like, sociology, psychology, and political science becomes more loose.
