- Abstract
The article describes the three types of machines developed by the researchers in a joint project of Lawrence Livermore Laboratory and the University of California Medical School at San Francisco, California. These machines, which include analyzers, sorters, and scanners are used for microbiology and genetic experiments. These instruments offer fast and accurate information to advance cancer and birth defect research and genetic engineering.
