- Abstract
In 1882, Walter Whitehead [1] proposed the procedure now known as Whitehead's haemorrhoidectomy and performed it for prolapsed and circumferential haemorrhoids. Recently, some studies have suggested that Whitehead's haemorrhoidectomy still has a role in selected patients with prolapsed and circumferential haemorrhoids [[3]]. 4 Erzurumlu K, Karabulut K, Özbalci GS, Tarim IA, Lap G, Güngör B.
