- Authors
Kundu, Amartya; Moliterno, David J.
- Abstract
An editorial discusses the potential of drug-coated balloons (DCBs) as a treatment for in-stent restenosis in coronary artery disease. It highlights the AGENT IDE study, the first U.S. trial evaluating DCBs, which showed superiority over conventional balloons in reducing adverse events. It notes that using noncoated balloons as the control may not reflect current practice.
