- Abstract
The South Alabama Coastline has experienced a number of natural and man-made disasters, including such natural disasters as Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and Hurricane Isaac in 2012. Of course, the primary man-made disaster was the BP Oil Spill in 2010. This paper seeks to update the original South Alabama study and look at the current economic hardships faced by the business owners in South Alabama and, in particular, the metro area surrounding Orange Beach in South Alabama.
