The article presents a speech by Jeff Brown, justice at Texas Supreme Court, delivered at the Judge Ruby Kless Sondock Jurist-in-Residence Program of the University of Houston Law Center. Topics of the speech include impact of technological advancement on working man and women, rise of the machines such as search engines which may help lawyers and legal researchers bring empiricism and artificial intelligence into law.
