- Abstract
The article presents a study on investigation of surface of natural diamonds by the method of atomic force microscopy (AFM), which is based on registration of interatomic forces of interaction between the surface of object and the probe of the microscope. It discusses the determination of the crystallographic orientation of lateral walls of triangular pits on the faces of etched diamond crystals. It further discusses the investigation of the surface of synthetic diamonds after interaction with iron nanoparticles in the environment of hydrogen.
