- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted to investigate the association of cardiovascular and metabolic disease genes with psoriasis. It informs that psoriasis is associated with an increased incidence of cardiovascular and metabolic comorbidities including coronary artery disease (CAD), hypertension and type II diabetes. The study evaluated that the increased risk for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases in psoriasis is derived from genetic risk factors.
