- Abstract
The article presents information on a case of cholestatic jaundice associated with enalapril. Enalapril is a non-sulphydryl prodrug. It is hydrolyzed enzymatically in the liver to enalaprilic acid, an active angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. Hepatotoxicity with enalapril is extremely rare and is highly likely that enalapril was the causative agent.
