- Abstract
The article explores the issue of drug use in training and racing of horses in the U.S. The current drug use in the horse racing industry, including anabolic steroids, corticosteroids and anti-bleeding medications was addressed. It examines the inconsistencies of state regulation in order to illustrate the need for greater transparency and uniformity in thoroughbred horsing.
