- Abstract
The authors present a response to a discussion of their study about the efficacy of self-paced maximal oxygen uptake in treadmill running, which was published online in 2013 in the journal "Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism." They examine the use of ergometers to administer two protocols tested. Concerns about data interpretation are discussed. The authors believe that removing data from a data set is an inappropriate academic practice.
