- Authors

- Abstract
Vocal fold leukoplakia (VFL) is a clinical diagnosis indicating the presence of white plaque lesions on the vocal fold epithelial surface. In this retrospective review of 144 laryngeal lesions from 92 patients, cases of patients with biopsy-proven dysplasia or malignancy were compared to controls with benign pathology. Utilizing the Ni classification system, Rzepakowska et al.[5] performed a prospective analysis on 57 patients with 84 lesions prior to laryngeal microsurgery and attempted to stratify malignancy risk based on NBI endoscopy and vibratory function pattern on laryngovideostroboscopy.
