- Abstract
The article discusses research on the link of the experience and knowledge of indigenous Eskimos to the efforts of the scientific community to understand environmental developments in the coastal plains of northern Alaska. It offers information on the methods utilized to generate secondary data from interviews of volunteers with regard to subsistence, women's roles and community values. The article also provides details on the presentation of a methodology for multicultural and multidisciplinary assessments.
