- Title
Serum lactate dehydrogenase as an early marker of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome: keep your eyes open on the score of severity brain oedema.

- Abstract
The article explores the link between serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels and endothelial injury in posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES). LDH is reportedly present in different body tissues and its escalating level may be the expression of localised or systemic endothelial damage/dysfunction. The spike of LDH in PRES may indicate that the endothelial damage is primarily in the brain tissue.
