- Abstract
The article titled "Comment: 'Cable Ties: Poor Man's Top Closure System'" discusses a case report on the innovative use of cable ties as a closure system for a difficult scalp defect in a poor patient. While the authors commend the efforts and results achieved, they raise several observations and queries. These include concerns about inadequate debridement, the potential for necrosis and poor scarring, the protocol for tightening the cable ties, the presence of a white substance near the sutured end of the ties, the method of wound closure, and the type of dressing used. The authors request a response to their queries to enhance their understanding of the technique.
