- Abstract
The article discusses the basic ideas that should be reflected in the science curriculum. It points out that science deals with the fundamental happenings or phenomena that occur in the environment and attempts to define the phenomena in a time-place setting in as accurate terms as possible. The article examines how the operational definition, conceptual models and the constituency of an explanation should be considered in curriculum design. It adds that the use of hypothetical construct or model is important to any science curriculum.
